Ecotox
SAGEA performs ecotoxicological studies for the evaluation of potential toxic effects of active substances, plant protection products and biocides on non-target organism part of agricultural ecosystems.
Appropriate experimental design and statistical models are applied.
Ecotoxicological studies are performed in support of the registration and re-registration processes of plant protection products (PPP) and biocides. Such studies are performed in accordance with international guidelines (IOBC OILB, OECD, ASTM, ISO, EPA, etc.).
Data obtained integrate studies on environmental impact and on residues on cultivated crops, determining the nature and magnitude of potential exposure depending on the formulation and application conditions.
